What should you do if you can't activate a new SIM card?
If you are experiencing activation issues with Verizon clients, please perform a SIM card swap. If this option is not available, please contact Verizon directly from the app and ask the customer to join the call to have his/her device activated. If you are unable to place a call from the app, you may instruct the customer to call Verizon directly at 877-807-4646.
Please note: contacting Verizon directly from the app is the preferred option to avoid long waiting times and to provide a better experience to our customers. You should only instruct the customer to call Verizon directly if you are unable to place calls from the app.
Why am I having this issue?
Currently, there is an issue with the Verizon activation API, impacting our ability to activate new SIM cards for Verizon customers. We have confirmed that the issue was generated on the Verizon side, and we have escalated it to Verizon. Verizon is working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Meanwhile, please follow the steps shared above to ensure our customers have their replacement device activated as quickly as possible.
